“Cappadocia is one of the most important tourism regions of our country and the world with its unique natural beauties and cultural texture. Nevşehir hosts millions of tourists with its tourism activity spanning 12 months of the year and contributes to the country’s economy. The museums and ruins in our city have 10 monthly visitor numbers this year. “When the figures are evaluated, we see that the highest number has been reached to date. This year, 4 million 256 thousand 129 local and foreign tourists were hosted. Thus, an all-time record was broken. If our visitor numbers continue like this, we predict that the number of visitors will exceed 5 million by the end of the year.”

Fidan also noted that 4 million 192 thousand 70 people visited museums and ruins during 2022, which is considered the peak year in regional tourism. Fidan added that efforts are continuing to increase the duration of stay in the region and develop tourism.
