Due to the heavy snowfall that started in Nevşehir and the wind that increased its effect from time to time, hot air balloon tours, which attracted great interest from tourists, were postponed. In Cappadocia, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List with its natural, historical and cultural riches, hot air balloon tours that allow local and foreign tourists to watch the region from a bird’s eye view cannot be made for two days.

Balloons rising to the sky from the areas around Nevşehir’s Göreme, Uçhisar, Ortahisar towns and Çavuşin village could not fly due to snowfall and winds exceeding 30 kilometers per hour from time to time. It has been learned that the tours can be held on the weekend if the weather conditions return to normal.

Hot air balloon tours in Cappadocia can be carried out in suitable weather conditions after the evaluations made by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure General Directorate of Civil Aviation (SHGM).
