The distance between Nevşehir Airport and Cappadocia is 30 km, and the distance between Kayseri Airport and Cappadocia is 100 km. You can rent a car from both airports in order to plan a comfortable trip and use the time effectively.

After settling in your hotel in the evening, if you wish, take a tour around the area. You can get some information about the area from the hotel staff. But most importantly, take a good sleep to gather energy for this wonderful trip that will not be erased from your memory.

Day 1 in Cappadocia

Cappadocia 3 Days Itinerary; Get up early in the morning and have a nice breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, your first stop is the Goreme Open Air Museum, which will amaze you when you see it. This is a pretty big place and you will spend about half a day here. There are many churches from the early Christian period in Göreme Open Air Museum. Churches we recommend you visit:

  • Dark Church
  • Carikli Church
  • Apple Church
  • Serpentine Church
  • St. Basel Chapel

After Göreme Open Air Museum, don’t forget to visit Tokalı Church just across the complex.

After having your lunch at one of the nearby cafes, set off for Uçhisar, a 30-minute walk away. Of course, assuming you have rented a car, you will arrive in Uçhisar in less time. When you arrive in Uçhisar, climb to Uçhisar Castle, which can be seen from Göreme. Take a nice souvenir photo against the view.

Return to your hotel for dinner. It is useful not to waste too much time at night and to fall asleep immediately. Because the next day, you will have to wake up before sunrise for the balloon tour.

2nd Day in Cappadocia

Cappadocia 3 Days Itinerary; You start the second day in Cappadocia with a balloon tour. The balloon tour takes about 1.5 hours.
