The Lavender Cappadocia Project

World Ethno Sports Confederation President Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan, Nevşehir Governor İnci Sezer Becel and other participants planted the 50,000th lavender plant together at the Lavender Cappadocia Project promotion meeting to be established in Çavuşin village of Avanos district of Nevşehir.

Participants gave life water by planting lavender in the area. After the program, project coordinator Murat Sarıkaya told reporters that the “Turkey” logo was created by using 50 thousand lavender seedlings in the field and noted that the project will contribute to tourism.

Stating that The Lavender Cappadocia Project on an area of ​​1 million 350 thousand square meters will be developed and continued, Sarıkaya said, “People will have the opportunity to see this area with the viewing terraces and balloons to be created. In the second phase of our project, we will create the world’s first information park that can be visited with augmented reality. “Let me also say, lavender seedlings will be planted in the name of 41 thousand 463 children in kindergarten, primary and secondary school throughout the province, so we will realize the world’s largest children’s environmental movement,” he said.
